FROM £125 PER PERSON
51.6762° N, 4.9184° W
Your Stand Up Paddleboard Paddle Surf Award will give you the personal and decision-making skills to enjoy your first wave riding experiences. You will learn how to catch, ride and exit a wave.
In order to have an enjoyable day out surfing, you will need to make sure that we look at some key factors before deciding where to paddle. You will need to look at swell, wave height, the tide and the weather. This will make sure we have all the information we need to decide that it is safe to go out on the water.
You will need to consider the best equipment to keep you safe on the water. This includes a personal flotation device (PFD) and a leash. As well as a board that is suitable for surfing. You will need to consider other water users and how you will transport your board to and from the water.

Course Content +
During this award you will look at how to effectively launch and manage your SUP. You will learn the skills required to choose the correct venue and to get onto the water safely. As well as the skills required whilst out in the surf to maintain control of, and to steer, your board.
